In a plastic zipper bag, combine soy sauce, sherry, vinegar and black pepper. Add steak and marinate, refrigerated, for several hours, turning occasionally.

When steak has finished marinating, heat butter and olive oil in a heavy bottom skillet and sauté onions, celery, mushrooms, pepper and garlic.

On a work surface or platter, place steak and spread the vegetable mixture over meat; sprinkle with minced parsley and roll up from the narrowest end. Tie the rolled up steak using cotton butcher's string.

Grilled Marinated Flank Steak Recipe

Grilled Marinated Flank Steak Recipe

A great flank steak recipe to try !
Ingredients

Marinade Ingredients
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Other ingredients
  • 2 pounds flank steak
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground pepper
INSTRUCTIONS

1 Score the surface of the flank steak with 1/4 inch deep knife cuts, about an inch apart, across the grain of the meat. Combine the marinade ingredients. Place flank steak and marinade ingredients in a large freezer bag. Coat the flank steak well with the marinade. Seal the bag and place in a bowl. Chill and marinate for at least 2 hours and up to overnight.

2 Using olive oil soaked onto a paper towel, coat the grill rack of your grill with olive oil. Preheat the grill with high, direct heat. The grill is hot enough when you hold your hand about an inch over it and you can only hold it there for about a second.

3 Take the flank steak out of the marinade bag and sprinkle generously on all sides with coarse salt and freshly ground pepper. The salt and pepper will help form a savory crust on the steak. Place steak on the hot grill. If you are using a gas grill, cover the grill. Grill for 4-6 minutes on each side. Half way through grilling on each side, turn the steak 90° so that you get more grill marks.

4 Flank steak is best eaten medium rare; well done will make it too tough. When the steak has cooked to your preferred level of doneness, remove from the grill and place on a cutting board. Cover with aluminum foil to hold in the heat and to keep the steak from drying out, and let rest for 10 minutes.

5 Make very thin slices, against the grain, and at a slight diagonal so that the slices are wide.

If you want, you can take the excess marinade and bring it to a boil, simmer for several minutes, and serve with the flank steak. Great also with salsa or horseradish sauce.

The flank steak recipe is ready to serves 6 persons....nice ! Enjoy it !

BAKED STUFFED FLANK STEAK

BAKED STUFFED FLANK STEAK

INGREDIENTS
  •  1-2 lb flank steak butterflied
  •  2 tbsp panko breadcrumbs
  •  1 egg yolk
  •  1 and 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese grated or shredded
  •  1 cup spinach frozen pkg - thawed, rinsed, and well drained
  •  1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes roughly chopped
  •  1/2 tsp garlic salt divided
  •  1 pinch black pepper to taste
  •  2 tbsp olive oil

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 425 F.

If you have not already done so, butterfly your steak by lining your knife up parallel with a cutting board and slicing through the center of the steak, stopping just short of cutting all the way through. This will make it so that you can open up the steak like sandwich bread, doubling the original length of the steak. Need a visual guide? Check out this video.
Using a meat tenderizer, even out the thickness of the steak, aiming for 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.

In a large bowl, add egg yolk and lightly whisk with a fork. Add spinach and panko bread crumbs, mixing with the egg. Finish off by tossing in the mozzarella and sun-dried tomatoes until all ingredients are thoroughly mixed.

Top butterflied steak with cheese stuffing, spreading it out evenly. Leave a 1 inch border along the edges of the steak clear of stuffing. Sprinkle top of stuffing with 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt and pepper to taste.
Roll the steak along the "grain" (the ripples in the meat), starting with the smallest end first. Roll the steak tightly and tuck in any stray pieces.
Using cooking twine (100% cotton string), snugly loop & tie the twine along the steak in 2 inch intervals. String should be snug enough to slightly compress meat but not so tight it begins to cut into the steak.

Place stuffed & tied flank steak on a baking sheet of your choice (I used a 9x13 baking dish). Drizzle the steak with olive oil and use your fingers to thoroughly rub it into the meat. Sprinkle remaining 1/4 teaspoon garlic on top of the steak.

Bake in the oven for 35 minutes, then set oven to broil and cook for another 5-10 minutes, to taste. Caution: Depending on how much juice the steak released while cooking, there may be a little smoke while broiling.
Remove stuffed flank from oven and let rest for 15 minutes, exposed to air and undisturbed, before serving. Cool. Enjoy the BAKED STUFFED FLANK STEAK recipes !!!
